Recently I see on eBay a number of official dvds for the Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy episodes I believe the original transmission tapes for these were wiped and the German soundtracks are off air recordings. Is anyone able to confirm the situation here and what episodes were affected. Thanks in advance for any responses

Please contact Pandascope to alert them to the Ebay listings. If you can't reach them, try asking Paul Vanezis or Kaleidoscope if they can contact Pandascope for you.

I think you are missing the point here are maybe I wasn't very clear on my original post. Sorry. These are official dvds on eBay with German soundtracks. Released I presume by the German distributor. I was wondering if the soundtracks had to be sourced from off air recordings as I believe some of these dub tapes had been wiped before. There is no missing material contained on these releases now obviously. I was just wondering how the German dubs were sourced. Hope this clarifies my post

DVDs for the Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy episodes have been released in Germany almost a decade ago, they are currently re-releasing Blueray Mediabooks with the updated image and bonus material from the Collection set. As for the dub, yeah, the original recordings weren't kept in their entirety, but Pandastorm, the Publisher of the DVDs, asked people if they had any home recordings on VHS or DVD and, yeah, they had. The original statement back in 2014 (in German) was: "Liebe Serienfreunde, Liebe Doctor Who Fans:
Angriff der Kybermänner, Teil 1-4 (Attack Of The Cybermen, Part 1-4)
Revolte auf Viaros, Teil 1-4 (Vengeance On Viaros, Part 1-4)
Die Rache des Meisters, Teil 1, 3 (The Mark Of The Rani, Part 1, 3)
Androiden in Sevilla, Teil 1, 3-6 (The Two Doctors, Part 1, 3-6)
Das Amulett, Teil 1-4 (Timelash, Part 1-4)
Planet der Toten, Teil 1-4 (Revelation Of The Daleks, Part 1-4)
Das Urteil, Teil 1, 5, 10 (The Trial Of A Timelord, Part 1, 5, 10)
Excaliburs Vermächtnis, Teil 2, 3 (Battlefield, Part 2, 3)
Das Haus der tausend Schrecken, Teil 2 (Ghost Light, Part 2)
Der Tod auf leisen Sohlen, Teil 2 (Survival, Part 2)"
Just a request to contact them if you had a German home media (VHS/DVD) recording of the broadcasts of the listed episodes.

Also these days they are releasing Tom Baker and Peter Davison Stories, along with the publisher Polyband who is releasing Tom Baker, Troughton, Hartnell and Pertwee stories, as German DVDs and Blue-rays with new German dubs made especially for the home media releases. They recently released a German dub of "Ark in Space" and announced "Genesis of the Daleks" for this summer (the dub has been made quite some time ago, but there were problems with creating an isolated soundtrack, so Genesis was put on ice for a few years).
