Just spotted this on Amazon with a December 5th 2022 release date: www.amazon.co.uk/Ghost-Stories-Christmas-Blu-ray-discs/dp/B0B8BM6WC9/Contains: Whistle and I’ll Come to You (1968) | The Stalls of Barchester(1971) | A Warning to the Curious (1972) | Lost Hearts (1973) These are apparently remastered. Given how ropy the film quality on the dvds are, do people think that these will be an improvement?

Will these have been done from the camera negatives? If so, is there any listing for what BBC programmes still have camera negatives existing? Fingers crossed for things like "Carrie's War" and "The Changes" as hd editions.

Fingers crossed for things like "Carrie's War" and "The Changes" as hd editions. The problem with camera negatives is, any post-production effects have to be re-instated and lighting/colour changes between takes have to be regraded = time/money. A good positive will do the job and will be a lot better than (what seemed like) hoary old VT copies the BBC use to rerun them with.
