Could anyone identify the show this clip comes from ?
Jigsaw performing the Christie hit "Yellow River"
The poster says it's from 1970 - Would this have been recorded before Christie's version ?

I can't help with the source of the Jigsaw clip (though it certainly wouldn't pre-date The Tremeloes/Christie's recordings), but here's an excellent documentary on 'Yellow River':

Is this the same Jigsaw that had a hit with Sky High?

Is this the same Jigsaw that had a hit with Sky High? I'm not convinced that this is the same band, as there was an Australian outfit called Jigsaw, and apparently our home-grown outfit were known as British Jigsaw over there; given that this clip is from Rage, I would have expected them to be credited as British Jigsaw but they're not. My money's on this lot being the Australian band, especially as other pics I've seen of the UK band from the same period have them looking a bit cooler (longer hair, trendier clothes) than these ! (Addendum: I've just found out that "Yellow River" as by the Australian band was released over there in July 1970 so I think that confirms who this is.)

Cheers Kev! I had my doubts that they were the same band too.

Never thought but checking Discogs, it is the Australian band who did the cover of Yellow river so probably an Australian show like Countdown.

Apparently it is a show called Hit Scene (1971) (info courtesy Gary Jordan)

Apparently it is a show called Hit Scene (1971) (info courtesy Gary Jordan) He's obviously just being pedantic after Scott Douglas referred to it as Hitscene.
