Thanks for posting this Peter, I'd also like to see "Good Grief Christina" if it turns up or from any other show never seen any performance of that.

I’m sure that the Crackerjack performance of Good Grief Christina with the band all wearing bizarre “Sci-Fi” clothing has survived & was in circulation until fairly recently as I’ve seen it somewhere not that long ago. Did a quick trawl of You Tube & couldn’t find it though. As an aside, if I remember correctly this particular episode of Crackerjack was repeated during the following season which was unusual. Possibly industrial action of some sort?

And here they are in the outfits. If I remember correctly on the Crackerjack performance the keyboard player had a rubber “flying helmet” type of thing on his head which looked a bit like an unfinished ice warrior commander’s head. The clip was shot against a fully white background presumably to emphasise the bizarre colourful costumes. 70’s madness at its best. Shame the picture doesn’t show the massive silver platform boots they were wearing.

Cheers Mark. The picture opens fine thanks & a funny yellow rubber flying hat thingy too! Is that off the cover of a K-Tel album by any chance?

That is a fairly well known clip. From the book 'Look Wot They Dun!': 27-05-72 – ‘Disco’ (Germany): What’s Your Name (The group never hit the heights of ‘Son Of My Father’ again, but ‘What’s Your Name’ came closest, getting to No. 13 in the UK charts. Here the song is promoted on German TV)
