Reading from the online BBC Comedy Guide, there were two Christmas Night With The Stars sketches (1962 & 1967) and another special sketch written for the Ken Dodd Show in 1966.
Do any of these three sketches still exist, or are they all now residing in the great junkyard in the sky?
Thanks.

The Ken Dodd Show (BBC1, 24 July 1966) and the short, shown as part of the 1967 edition of Christmas Night with the Stars, both exist... Not sure about the the 1962 Xmas, though...

Only the filmed inserts exist for the 1967 Christmas Night With The Stars, not their appearance itself.

Thanks guys.
I was just thinking it would be nice to see them (if they still existed) as extras on one of the 2Entertain releases.

An excerpt from the 1962 "Christmas Night with the Stars" sketch also exists, in an edition of the schools' series "Looking at Television" from 1963.

On a similar theme, anyone know if any of the South African radio adaptation of Steptoe and Son (recast with South African actors) still exists? And has anyone ever heard any of them?

What about "At The Palace"? Does the complete version exist? I've only seen a 2 min clip and wondered if that's all there was?

I also have a copy of the Ken Dodd Show, you can see that Ken's not a natural at acting when he plays his part in the skit.

The film of the 1963 Royal Variety Performance still exists (shown on ITV that year), so whatever was shown of the 'Steptoe & Son' section is still around. As I remember it was released as a single, so must have been around 6-8 minutes long, so may have been edited for tv broadcast. From memory though, the Beatles' section was the mostly costly item licenced by Apple for the 'Anthology' documentary.

I have the whole of the Steptoe and Son 1963 Variety show sketch so it definitely exists It was released as a single and did quite well as I recall. I also have the Ken Dodd show which was actually on UKNova a while back. Harry H. Corbett was a guest on a surviving Eamonn Andrews Show (1968? from memory though I may be wrong) where he talks about Steptoe amongst other things.
