I've recently caught (hope there's a vaccine for it) a few editions of the series "Runaround" from 1980, hosted by Mike Reid - the cockney chap - on TPTV, Sunday mornings and have been surprised to see that the show had musical guests on it. Not the obvious ones either - so far I've seen Jona Lewie with Kirsty MacColl (ok, that wasn't a great example) but also Graduate, the pre-Tears For Fears band that included Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, and The Sinceros. So now I'm keen to see who else graced this frankly awful kids' show - a quick Google just now didn't find any information about who else might have plugged their latest single on it.

The excellent TV Pop Diaries lists musical guests for most editions. Not as a complete episode guide though, you’ll have to look through each year from 1975 to 1981.

Update: last week the Photos were the musical guests, with their then-current single "Irene". For some reason these episodes of Runaround don't seem to be being shown in broadcast order.
