Saw the first episode back in the day,and believe a camera obscura was used as part of the plot-I'd seen one in David Niven's A Matter of Life and Death. It's odd, but my memory is that I was disappointed that the QBTCU pop song wasn't used as the theme, but apparently,they were one and the same! The camera obscura was part of the flat they (or one of them) lived in I seem to remember.
