I better point out.. I made a mistake.. I mean ITV Clip Sales .. not the Duty office, but having said that in the "old days" Central TV would often try and find out information for us.. but that has long gone!

I remember those days - the days before everyone lost their jobs.

"Well son, it was a thing people used to do where they would spend each day in a building doing a job to the best of their ability, trying to help people out and providing a useful service, regardless of whether there was any direct financial gain, in a competitive industry where companies' reputations for caring about their customers was the driving force. That's old fashioned though as you know. Nowadays all you need to do is turn up somewhere where you know you are expected to blag and shirk your way through the day and help your company make as much money as possible from as little work as possible, splitting up simple tasks into half-a-dozen contracts, where employees of each contracting firm have no interest in what the others are doing or the bigger picture, because it's seen as 'anoraky'. Remember son, you will get on well in this world as long as you don't do weird freaky things like care about what you're doing, or care about the industry you're in, or take any pride in the product your employer is employing you to help push out."
