Hi all, Please would someone know about the status of Kenny Everett's radio shows. I ask because I have a few bits of his Capital days. I was a lover of Captain Kremmen and have a lot of the later ones on a number of tapes. I also have the second Bottom 30 in it complete with ads. Not sure if it has the news though. It was a 2 hour show on a Saturday in the late 70's (I think). For those of you who don't know, he played what he considered to be the worst records ever. Some of the celebrities were Jack Warner, Bob Monkhouse, Simon and Garfunkle (I think here as Tom and Jerry), Reginald Bousenquet (the news reader) even an elvis track!
Cheers Alan

KENNY EVERETTE SHOWS-
All are excellent quality, off-air home recordings except the final one which appears to be studio tape sourced.
I have the following;
KE1 - RADIO 1 : 9/6/68 : 2 hrs COMPLETE (2CD’S) KE2 - RADIO 1 : 30/11/68 : 47 mins (poor quality) KE3 - RADIO 1 : 13/9/69 : 2 hrs COMPLETE (2CD’S) KE4 - RADIO 1 : 16/5/70 (Sometimes listed as 1/8/70): 90 mins (2 CD’S) KE5 - RADIO 1 : 6/6/70 : 90 mins (2 CD’S) KE6 - RADIO 1 : 4/7/70 : 46 mins KE7 - RADIO 1 : 18/7/70 : 90 mins (2CD’S)
(I ALSO HAVE SOME LATER SHOWS FROM 1973)

One thing I do have of Kenny's (if I can find it) is a promotional tape for Wild Rock Promotions. It's essentially Kenny doing his normal zany stuff for this company. One line I do remember is 'A roll on the drums is better than a wriggle on the rostrum'. I should still have it. Trying to sift through 44 years of collecting. It takes a while.
