Dear All,
I am a brand new member, so bear with me with regards to any posting irregularities!
Just a passing thought: I was at the recording of the Graham Norton Show on 10 May (Beckham, Joan Armatrading et al) in Studio 1 at BBC White City Studios (before they become flats).
I realised I had been in the same studio (I believe) over 50 years earlier, for the recording of Roger Whittaker's Whistle Stop in February 1968 (when I was aged 9). My godmother worked at the BBC then and used to arrange for me to have tickets for kids' shows.
It was first episode of the second series and featured Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich 'performing' The Legend of Zanadu. Complete with whip. A release soon to be a number one. I spoke to Ian 'Tich' Amey about the show when I met him in Wembley a few years' back.
I work at the Musicians' Union, so hope to help with a few music-related issues here. All the best, Keith.
