Not in the know or trying to create rumours...the wonderful Enemy Of The World is out now as special edition. If web followed next with animated (or recovered:) )episode 3 what extras could be included?

My concern is that it’s getting on for six and half years since WoF3 was seen by PM. Has it disappeared somewhere it can’t be recovered from? There has been speculation about hoarders.....

A Shaw Taylor type featurette on the whereabouts of the criminal(s) that snaffled WOF3?

I believe that a clean version of the web effect end credits exists would make a nice easter egg

Couple of other ideas how about a feature on the planned third yeti story that was not filmed. Also a condensed reconstruction of Fury From The Deep along the lines of Marco Polo.

It is almost definitely being hoarded. Wouldn't be surprised if this person holds other missing episodes or is part of a network of people who do. The only solace to be had from this is that such people very likely have the know-how on how to correctly store film and so if they have a change of heart...it should be in a similiar condition to what it was when it was originally found, making the films ironically probably safer than if they were in a storage room somewhere.

On the recent Enemy DVD, Morris said in an interview he was close to filling the gap in where Web of Fear 3 went...
Whether he finds it or not is another mystery, but there's really only one way we'll find out; and that's when a Special Edition release is announced.

If PM does indeed find Web 3, do you think it would be announced at the same time as a Web of Fear special edition or separately beforehand? As I see it, so long as a special edition for the Web of Fear is not released, Phil Morris still believes there's hope for finding Web 3. It wouldn't make sense to do so unless Web 3 were definitively found or definitively lost.

It wouldn't make sense to do so unless Web 3 were definitively found or definitively lost. Look back in time. EotW was the first DVD release with WoF some months later. WoF had a telesnap reconstruction of Episode 3. Subsequently we found out that PM had first got into the store in Jos in late 2011 - when WoF3 was present - but then had to fight the red tape until the prints were returned in the Spring of 2013. Things then made sense - no animation of WoF3 had been commissioned as PM was on its trail. My view is that a WoF SE - with commentary, extras, etc - will happen when WoF3 is acquired or if it turns out to have been destroyed, in which case animation would be commissioned.
