Can any of the Who experts here help me track down a film camera man who worked on Spearhead from Space The chap in question is not credited on screen as he only worked one Sunday morning in 1969 at Ealing Broadway to shoot the now classic scene of the shop window dummies coming to life I met him over 12 yrs ago in Poole Dorset and that was his only day of ever working on the show but what a sequence to film eh? He is or was a film collector with an interest in trains and was very aware of materiel being wiped but also aware of 16mm film being saved from destruction by staff who felt it criminal to see stuff destroyed so he knew a lot of footage exited the BBC to be passed onto collectors etc hopefully there are production notes with this chaps name on and we had a great conversation all those years ago and he may know other ex staff or collectors that could assist in film and tv recovery I have Facebook messaged Toby H and Richard Bignell today

You might try posting your question on this The Tech-ops History Site website -> tech-ops.co.uk/next/Someone might have some memories.

The only names that I could find associated with filming the Auton mannequin attack in Spearhead, Ep 4 were Film Camera Team - Stan Speel & Robert McDonnell

Can't help you anymore, but you might try to message David Brunt on FB too. He is a member here, but has not been active in years.

I am very confident I have located the address in which we met, where would be the best place to search for the names of Freeholders or Landlords? Land registry or local council voters roll?

The land registry will tell you who owned it. The electoral roll will tell you who lived there. Something like 192.com may be a good place to look.
