I know that some time ago Reparata was trying to get hold of a copy of the TOTP footage for Captain of Your Ship, and was shocked to find that it had been junked. This footage with DLT introducing the track in German on Beat Club made me wonder if, despite it being the official promo was the footage lifted from UK programming at the time? With the costume changes & SFX it isn't a "live" performance on German TV as quoted on Wikipedia. Does anyone know if DLT presented Music programs in Germany in the 60's

He certainly did - DLT was co-host of Beat Club for a couple of years in the late 60s (Wiki says between 1966-69, and I have no reason to doubt them on this one!).

No the footage is typical beat club of it's time. Thos os definitely Beat Club and not TOTP.
