Hi all, was just reading about Steven's flashback sequence to The Dalek's Masterplan and The Massacre in The Celestial Toymaker, and was wondering a few things (I haven't listened to any of the audio's for those three stories, so forgive me if it seems obvious):
1. Can you actually tell what the footage is/represents (i.e. what are the clips of)? Does the audio match up to another soundtrack, or is it impossible to tell what's meant to be onscreen (due to lack of audio and visuals)?
2. If it's clear what clips they used, what episodes of DMP and The Massacre are they from?
Curious to know.

There's no sound for the clips, all that's heard is Steven saying "That's me on the planet Kembel... there I am in Paris", so sadly unless the episode is recovered there's no way to know what was shown on the screen.

Like so: ibb.co/gZAMgv So unlikely to be particularly useful clips even if this episode was found!

The script indicates that these were telecine sequences, which would suggest they were clips from the episodes rather than just stills.
For "That's me on the planet Kembel" (a line not in the script and added in rehearsal), the script just indicates "He (we) sees himself with Time Destructor" and for The Massacre, it simply says "It changes to a sequence of him in Paris."

In a minority here. One of my favourites. Really hope to see it one day so as we know what the clips are. My mum remembers the line of police boxes and the clowns. Must have had some charm to be so clear all these years later

Pure guess, but it would seem to make sense that we see Steven outside, in the streets of Paris, rather than in a room talking to blokes. "That's me,in Paris".
