While watching Morecambe & wise "Forever" last night on ITV 3 an origonal script for running wild was shown, and on the title page of the script it said that the programme "was to be tele-recorded", does anyone if was it ever recorded and the resultant films destroyed? I've managed to do a screengrab below

Hi Ian,
The BFI has 2 filmographic records without holdings for Running Wild, both have the same cast and production crew.
Running Wild 21/4/54 Production Company BBC Director Ernest Maxim Producer Bryan Sears Settings by Lawrence Broadhouse Orchestra Directed by Eric Robinson Cast: Eric Morecambe Ernie Wise Alma Cogan Ray Buckingham Marjorie Holmes Hermione Harvey The Four in a Chord
Running Wild 5/5/54
Perhaps someone else on the forum can contact the BBC and ask them if either of these was telerecorded? and if indeed there were other episodes? one of which, or perhaps, the whole of Running Wild was telerecorded?

It's possible it was done for just internal purposes to judge on the quality of the programme and "Running Wild" was as bad has we have been led to believe and any TR's were junked to prevent any embarresment
