Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows if the original BBC version of 1985 with Peter Crusing will be getting a DVD release? I heard that it had been remastered but nothing seems to have come of it yet.
Thanks Pete

Do you mean 1984? There was going to be a DVD from the bfi but it was cancelled due to problems with copyright and estates

I didn't know there was a sequel! If you thought 1984 was bleak...

It was Peter Crusing's only major role : Petra Pillow reprised the role later in the TV movie 1986 ...

I didn't know there was a sequel! If you thought 1984 was bleak... Or if you thought room 101 was bad, turns out room 102 is even worse! There's talk that they want to do a prequel set in mid 1983, set while the millions of telescreens are being rolled out accross Airstrip One AKA the UK. Peter Cushing is to be digitally recreated for that.
