He's been digging up rubbish dumps, even. That's dedication. Not quite as dedicated as going round Car Boot Sales on a Sunday morning expecting to run into episodes from Evil of the Daleks... I'm not sure that some of the previous recoveries were as a result of a specific search - some were clearly someone being in the right place at the right time.

How about joining the mormon church just to gain access to cupboards in former BBC buildings?

Those two episodes of Master Plan were only found by chance, the members of the LDS church sometimes buys or rents buildings to hold meetings and that is what most likely happened. and being a member of the LDS church I don't really appreciate people using my religion as a joke. Michael

It's not news to me that many people are deadly fanatic about DW, but I wouldn't call it a religion myself. Anyway it was just a joke on the subject of dedication because of the car boot sales remark.

Oasis
The Masterplan
Take the time to make some sense Of what you want to say And cast your words away upon the waves
And sail them home with acquiesce On a ship of hope today And as they land upon the shore Tell them not to fear no more Say it loud, and sing it proud today
And then dance if you wanna dance Please brother take a chance You know they're gonna go Which way they wanna go All we know is that we don't Know how it's gonna be Please brother let it be Life on the other hand Won't make us understand We're all part of the masterplan
Say it loud and sing it proud today
I'm not saying right is wrong It's up to us to make The best of all the things That come our way
'cause everything that's been has passed The answer's in the looking glass There's four and twenty million doors On life's endless corridor Say it loud and sing it proud today
We'll dance if they wanna dance Please brother take a chance You know they're gonna go Which way they wanna go All we know is that we don't Know how it's gonna be Please brother let it be Life on the other hand Won't make you understand We're all part of the masterplan

There could be more episodes in the area if that is the case

There could be more episodes in the area if that is the case It's a remote possibility I suppose, most likely if there was anything there it's been thrown away at this point but if anybody had access to those buildings and a day to spare it may be worth a look. I'd be extremely surprised if anything turned up however. Is that particular building still in Mormon hands does anyone know?

I don't know but if I knew which town it was in I could check the churches meetinghouse locator if no one else wants to.

There's really no need. A full background to that particular chapel of the Mormon church and what was found there is documented here: The Mormon Master Plan Mystery

There's really no need. A full background to that particular chapel of the Mormon church and what was found there is documented here: The Mormon Master Plan MysteryThat's a great article. It really makes an effort to get to the bottom of the church cellar business, and throws up as many questions as answers. As it was all negotiated by phone, could the 'cellar' have been heard wrong? Could the films have came from a 'seller' who happened to be calling from the Mormon Church - maybe he didn't have a phone and they did?. It was normal formal practice to give your name and establishment when calling a company back then. I like the idea of someone donating them to a fundraising jumble sale and them not selling.
