Amazing quality - even the fleshtones look very convincing, nuanced & realistic ( slightly less so on Dodo than Steven & Cyril perhaps ). Hopefully the entire episode will be completed at this very high standard. Thanks for the link Ace!

I thought that the flesh tones work equally well on Jackie than the other two . Tho she woulda surely demanded a bit more make up in session than Peter. Good ole Jackie - a saint in the bar after full colour recording sesh. Catch up now. And she could certainly hold her own ! 👍

If you study in detail the flesh tone on Jackie there is more perfection in colour chrominance and saturation tones. This is due to the evenness of the foundation levels she "demanded" from make up. She was yapping for a long time to.
Purves was like "get on with it!" Whilst his body language was saying "help get me outta here!" (I am a celebrity) cos he was male and his ego was having issue with make-up application concept.
Cctv footage from vauxhall cross round the corner from studios in hi-def and full colour testify the transcript of this recording seshion.
Hartnell and Gough were rather bored during production judging by camera feed.

Tho tbh for the life of me I can't see how the flesh tones on Jackie Lane are any less realistic than on the other two. I have watched the clip carefully with what you said in mind and I am even more astounded each time I watch the clip at how realistic this looks. I am no expert but this looks highly authentic to me. If I did not know the episode was originally monochrome I woulda been convinced this was shot in colour. A very groovy choice of episode what with the surreal music and psychedelic swirls going on . I dont somehow think I would appreciate so much without the colour. Even the acting is brought out more by the chrominance. Has this clip been remastered / restored by the colourist? Anyone here know? This looks sharper and higher quality than I recall.

I would think the tones on Jackie look a little wrong because the colourist has allowed for the reflection of her red top onto the skin. this would be natural an not noticed normally, but we are being extra critical knowing what it is.
