Would William Russell's links be included?
A feature about finding The Lion in New Zealand would be nice, that was the first find I can remember being reported in the news.

Not exactly an extra feature as such, but maybe the Lion episode could be remastered now, as Vidfire wasn't able to be used on the Lost In Time DVD due to the fragile condition of the film. Maybe nowadays it could be cleaned up.

The usual commentary, production subtitles, Radio Times listings and photo gallery. Making of documentary with original cast and crew, including making of the animation, and information on how The Lion was found. VHS links by William Russell Easter Egg: The Wheel Of Fortune countdown clock (as seen on Lost In Time) Coming Soon trailer (if the BBC are making any more animations) Can't think of what else they could include - there wouldn't be enough for a second disc

Add to that
The National Lottery Good Luck Stories - The feature on of the recovery of The Lion followed by Frazer Hines doing the draw. William Hartnell's Desert Island Disc (minus the music for copyright reasons) A new documentary on the missing episodes. Hartnell Years VHS Links.

Well, I started at petition to try and get it on DVD if anyone is interested Serious question: when they have already explained their position on the matter why are you demanding a release? Pretty much every post you have made here has been repeatedly calling for a release which is not going to happen. You want it? Ask BBC America, BBC Worldwide are not going anywhere near it.

Well, does it have to be telesnaps Yes. Can you imagine the outcry if they animated it? "BBC produces cartoon for racist Who fans". Damaging the BBC's reputation is not the route any conservationist wants to go down.

Maybe nowadays it could be cleaned up. I thought that it was because of the marks on the print that they couldn't afford to remove that made it unsuitable for Vidfire. The marks and scratches would produce many artefacts and not be good to watch.

They can animate it if they want to. I don't see any issues with that. It was made 50 years ago, if all 4 episodes survived it would have been repeated on TV hundreds of times around the world, given a VHS release of its own as well as a DVD release just like Talon's of Weng Chiang. Its just that BBC Worldwide don't have an interest in that story. Sad but true
