The next find from Kaleidoscope.
DISCOVERY 64: Softly Softly – Talk to Me tx: 2.2.1966
Written by Kenneth Ware, directed by Shaun Sutton With Alexis Kanner, Barry Letts, Douglas Blackwell, Milton Johns and Barlow and Watt as series leads.
There was a test-record ie pilot for Softly Softly recorded on 16th November 1965 which was transmitted as Talk To Me. This is the pilot for Softly Softly. Remarkable it survives.
16mm telerecording acquired from a private collection. Once again without Steve Birt, this would have been very hard to acquire. Steve is a true supporter of the cause.

Nice!
I'd say that an Avengers series 1 episode, followed by the pilot of Softly Softly is two biggies in a row.Can these be topped?

Some Public Eye, Adam Adamant or Callan could do just that!
(I'm assuming there's no Who, obviously)

I agree. The bar has been set high by these remarkable returns. And there was me preparing to manage my expectations. My imagination is doing cartwheels wondering what other treasures we will be blessed with over the next few nights.
What a great week!

I'm not on Facebook,so the only way I can possibly be faster than Ian is to refresh every page on Lostshows at once, and see what episode is no longer listed as missing.
It's a plan...

Some Public Eye, Adam Adamant or Callan could do just that! (I'm assuming there's no Who, obviously) Maybe a episode of Police Surgeon to round the week off as it would be lovely to have more then the first episode in the archives and I think it would help get Tunnel of Fear on DVD/Blu-ray quicker but apart from that it would be fantastic to see more of Police Surgeon as I love the first episode so much. More ABC Public Eye would be great and Adam Adamant Lives. What I would love to see too is a missing colour episode of Steptoe and Son and another Hancock's Half Hour turn up but I'm happy whatever turns up. What would be fun as there was a ABC find and then a BBC find that the rest would be a missing episode from each of the ITV regions so everyone gets something. Just a mad idea of mine.

It's a Dr Findlays Casebook. Perhaps a new running thread is required 😁
