This is probably a dead end but I just spotted this news article on MSN about the Government selling an obsolete Nuclear Bunker in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. Looking at the photos on the linked news report, the bunker is still fully furnished and stocked, including slides 12 and 13 which show the Emergency BBC Broadcasting room and most interesting slide 14 which shows various video tape cassettes and what appear to be cans of film or possibly cans for spooled audio tape for broadcasting programmes after an attack. These probably post-date the junking era but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask if this was something worth following up in case some of the older stuff was 60s/70s vintage? www.msn.com/en-gb/money/homeandproperty/inside-secret-northern-ireland-cold-war-nuclear-bunker-%e2%80%93-which-could-be-yours/ss-BBpa5fH?li=BBoPWjQ&ocid=iehp#image=14[via Edward Bloomfield]

Love it. "Please stay in the shelter for the next 30,000 years until it's safe to go out. In the meantime for our feature presentation, Patrick Troughton stars as Dr Who in Fury from the Deep".

As long as it isn't Enemy of the World. The number of different levels on which that works makes me want to stand up and applaud...
