Interesting to note at 1.35 in the second video that they seem to have made 4 early promo films for 'Out Of Our Heads' tracks at Twickenham Studios in July 1965.. 4 months before the Beatles first made similar promos films in the same studios.. the Beatles films still exist and the Stones don't seem to, obscuring the fact that the Stones got there first.

Thought this was kind of interesting... a slideshow of all the MISSING Rolling Stones Tv appearances, with relevant songs and photos: watch it and weep! I'm weeping.

There were quite a few performances I wasn't aware of.. I didn't know they performed 2 Between The Buttons tracks 'Connection' and 'She Smiled Sweetly' on TV .. or that there was a 'Dandelion' promo .. there were a couple of interesting shows that showcased tracks from 'Rolling Stones No.2' as well.
Something that's notable about the Stones visual archive .. unlike The Beatles, Who, or Kinks, who were all filmed when they were playing small clubs, there is no pre-fame or even particularly early footage of them as a group. AFAIK the earliest surviving footage is the partial TOTP clip of 'Not Fade Away' which is not that early relatively.

Does anybody know what the estate of Allen Klein hold? Seemed to recall Andrew Loog Oldham sold him everything prior 1969 and it was his company who released 'Charlie is My Darling' and 'Rock and Roll Circus' not the Stones.

They may have a ton of stuff, but it's odd that they haven't monetized it yet.

They appeared on The Arthur Haynes Show doing I Wanna Be Your Man, which predates Not Fade Away.
I wasn't aware they'd done 4 songs on Sunday Night At The London Palladium in 1967. That was the show when they refused to go on the revolving stage at the end. It's a shame that that footage seems to not exist, unless, of course, Bill Wyman has a copy, or Allen Klein's Estate.
Bill Wyman was once commended by Ringo Starr on having more footage and stuff on The Beatles than they had themselves.

The SNATLP audio from 1967 has been on bootleg for donkeys years Shelley. No-one seems to know what ABKCO have audio and video wise and trying to get any info from them or offer friendly suggestions (a BBC sessions set with Bill Wyman's Radio Luxembourg acetate for example) appears to be a waste of time. Given that the Stones catalogue is probably only 2nd to The Beatles in terms of UK historical band interest it's a mystery why ABKCO don't get off of their clouds and do something about it. Second only to Apple in terms of How To Do Nothing About A Major Band's Recording History. Apple sell cuff links and expensive pens to celebrate The Beatles music. Either Macca etc and Jagger etc.. are blocking major archival projects or their companies are completely clueless. Even looking at what we know exists it would take 5 minutes to compile a seriously excellent archival series for both bands on paper. The Beatles Anthology sets desperately need a quality overhaul. How sad is that when you compare that to what Bob Dylan and The Beach Boys archive teams do and they are far more limited interest artists in many ways ?

My Dad has often mentioned how ABKCO blocked the release of the Cameo Parkway back catalogue for years even though it was obvious there was a market for CD reissues.
It seems this mentality has been allowed to persist.
