Chris Perry has just posted in the Kaleidoscope FB page that he took receipt of this episode today. It has long been thought to be held by a collector. I hope MBW/Kal can screen it.
Great news!

It is my opinion that British television was at one of it's most creative and interesting points in the late 60s, with room allowed for experimentation and new ideas, so I have a feeling that this will be an extremely interesting watch if we get the chance to see it! Fingers crossed that this tips the balance in favour of a DVD release!

Fingers crossed that this tips the balance in favour of a DVD release! This is the only episode that exists, so I really wouldn't get your hopes up...

the seventh and eighth items listed in the Kaleidoscope BBC drama guide are the original titles sequence on colour film and a specially filmed trailer ; these two listings seem to have been confused as episodes in the count on the lost tv site.
At least there's some bonus material for a DVD if Network did consider it as a stand-alone release like they did with Little Lost Robot - I'd have thought it was more likely to turn up on BBC store though - if enough people ask.
lost tv site has not been updated with the episode as they have always listed it as existing - although the owner was unknown

I'd have thought it was more likely to turn up on BBC store though - if enough people ask. Do you have an email address that interested folks can send polite emails to? Also, I have a fleeting memory that someone from this site nearly purchased an episode of this show at a film collectors fair back in the 80s. I may have imagined it, sorry if that is the case. Might this be that print?

the late Richard Down of Kaleidoscope missed out on buying it in 1985 - which is why they've always been certain it existed.
I can't help on the BBC store info - I'm just assuming they have contact details for people to make suggestions - If not then hopefully when the play is handed over the archives can flag it up to them.

A prime candidate for colour recovery I would have thought, as in the era it was made there may not have been the fine tuning of switching the colour burst off?
