Those color Jon Pertwee tapes were the ones sent to Time Life Films when they made a distribution deal with BBC-TV Enterprises in 1972, what was found were copies that had been sent out to TV Stations in the USA and Canada that had not been returned to the distributor or wiped by the individual station at the time the stations were contacted. Pertwee color is not perfect but between RSC, and the off air Betamax recordings made in the USA in the late 1970's we have sure come a long way. Following on from this, anyone know the current position/intention for a fully colourised version of Dinosaurs E1?

The only colored invasion of Dino 1, that I'm aware of is on the DVD. With the end of the Dan hall years, I don't expect any further restoration

Given that Network have taken over as the BBC's DVD-wranglers-in-chief (as far as my limited understanding of the subject goes) I wouldn't give up hope of seeing DVD releases of newly recovered material*, but I think George is right - the chances of more special editions are practically zero these days. We were spoiled rotten with Dan Hall in charge!
* - by which I mean that if any does come along, it may not be limited to the BBC download store after all.

If it had been Ep 1 of The Daemons they would have spent the money on it. But since it's an interesting story let down even more than usual by CSO, we get 2 out of 3 colors since that's all the chroma dots there were. Maybe someday another print will turn up.
