Yes,I'd love to swap that dreadful and very obvious radio interference on the Dead Planet soundtrack with the clean episode that was junked 5 minutes after transmission in 1964.Shame Graham Strong never got that.I can't stand the pirate radio announcer talking over the Tardis food machine scene..

Frankly, I'm more annoyed watching The Abominable Snowmen without any audio! Interesting point. Luckily there were image recorders long before the sound video recorder was an affordable possibility. So many people recorded the picture at home, sometimes even from a line-out. Therefore we now have at least the video part of all lost episodes. Some of those episodes have even been redubbed to give an impression what they may have sounded like. They did the same thing for a Dads Army episode recently, with voice-actors re-sounding the whole episode "A stripe for Frazer".
