2016 seems to have been a very quiet year for this forum so far, so I thought I'd add a bit of light-heartedness to get people thinking Basically the idea is, if all the missing episodes and existing episodes we currently have swapped over (so the earliest surviving episode we had was Marco Polo 1, we didn't have anything from Trougton's era except two episodes of the Invasion and all but one of the Space Pirates, etc), then which of the current existing stories/episodes would we most desire? Personally I think it's a downright miracle that we have the first episode and its pilot, and the first Dalek story exists as a whole too!! Here's a few more fantasy examples... Wouldn't you love to see moving actual moving footage of the Quarks? I bet they looked amazing! The Daleks on the Marie Celeste? Wow, wish I could see that. I'm so bored of these Web Planet telesnaps, I bet those flying scenes were breathtaking. God, I wish we could find the other three episodes of Tenth Planet, damn these orphan episodes. Hopefully this will make us feel really grateful for what we already have, which is apparently how to maintain happiness and get us through the winter months!!

Maybe with the Pertwee episodes the colour and B&W episodes could be switched, & but with the omnibus compilations surviving in colour at least to make things interesting.

As far as I'm concerned, per twee is complete now in color.
Granted a few could be upgraded, but I'm satisfied

Does this mean Tomb of the Cyberman was sent to Hong Kong in the 90s by the BBC and is now missing?

These screenshots of Love & Monsters are fascinating!
I wonder what the Abzorbaloff looked like...Shame we have no record of his appearance.

Would this mean that we'd have the original version of The Dead Planet? What about the original episodes 3&4 of Planet Of Giants? We would be reconstructing the actual episode 3 using the unbroadcast versions instead of the other way around! This one's got me thinking how lucky we are. Yes we're missing fantastic stories such as Power Of The Daleks and Fury From The Deep, but if the missing episodes and the existing ones swapped over we'd be missing so much more. No Dalek Invasion Of Earth (in fact we'd only have episodes 2&4 of The Crusade from that season), no Mind Robber, no War Machines, only two episodes of The Invasion...

I agree. I would love to have dalek master plan, power and evil, and I'm not a fan of series 6, but we have so much good stuff I wouldn't want to lose. Like enemy, Web, tomb, most of season 1 and 2. We wish there was more. But at least we are fortunate to have what we have. Would this mean that we'd have the original version of The Dead Planet? Except for one which a local manager insisted we keep. And we can blame Phil Morris for everything. Wait... Are there some things that never change even in the opposite universe?

Ok i guess will never see Peter Cushing's performance in Dr. Who and the Daleks and also Daleks – Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. May not be able to see him, but you can hear all 52 episodes of Journey into Time. I was given it on eight track for Christmas when I was a kid so I can't listen to it, and even when I did it sucked. Should have left it shrink wrapped.

Well someone has to say it "I bet the new series when Russell T Davies etc took over was loved by all and not a single complaint, after all look at the budget they had, must have been even better than all that wiped '80's series"
