Anyone ever heard of "The Persuers"? First question - what was this show -- I can't find any info on the internet? Second question - are there missing episodes? Or are all accounted for?

The Pursuers: ABC (1961-2). All episoes exist on 35m. What was that one about then? Sounds like a swashbuckler...

I screened an episode of this show last night -- it's about a scotland yard detective who has a police dog. It was reasonably well done - this particular epiosde was about street gangs in London. The star was Louis Hayward.
(P.S. to Paul -- definitely not the Persuaders - that was a late '60s show with Roger Moore and Tony Curtis)

I think The Persuaders was early seventies rather than late sixties. In fact I'm sure of it. Brett Sinclair and Danny something, played by Roger Moore and Tony Curtis
The eccentric spelling of 'Pursuers' probably led to the confusion!

Hmm -- you know, I copied the spelling of "Persuers" or "Pursuers" off of the film leader without even noticing that it wasn't spelled correctly....
And you're right - Persuaders was '71-'72......

transmitted from April 1961 39 episodes. a few bright scripts from Phillip (Avengers) Levene, the rest were fairly lacklustre. The assistant was the impressively named 'Gaylord Cavalerio'
...and a black alsation dog who stole the acting honours
