By they way, I would love to know how the hell they get any kind of accurate viewing figures these days, I mean how can they possibly be a true reflection, what with people recording on numerous devices and streaming etc. www.barb.co.uk/resources/barb-facts/faq

Was watching the third programme of this series focusing on guitar heroes. Looking at the clips of free on 'doing their thing' & oasis on 'something for the weekend' I'd like to know their original transmission dates. I think I first saw doing their thing on Granada plus in 1997 with another group performing & was 'something for the weekend' made by LWT or carlton & nationally networked? I don't remembered this at all. Hi Christian. The clip of Oasis performing Supersonic on Something for the Weekend was originally broadcast 1st July 1994 on Granada. They also played Rock ānā Roll Star and Shakermaker on the same episode. They are notable for the fact that they feature live vocals from Liam Gallagher over instrumental backing tracks from the album. Some more info is available on my Oasis site: www.oasis-recordinginfo.co.uk/?page_id=455

Was 'moondog matinee' from 1981 made by Granada or ATV?

Are any of the tube special events like 'euro tube' & 'a midsummer night's tube' still in existence or are they lost with some clips remaining like the pet shop boys' west end girls' as shown on 'pop gold'?

I'm sure all of The Tube exists according to lostshows.com
Be a shame of those specials weren't archived. I've got clips from both on VHS but not the full shows

Show 7 is on 22nd & show 8 on the 29th. (Main ITV channel) However i've been informed that due to some negative feedback and poor ratings a few ITV regions have now dropped the show and it's return for a 2nd series is in doubt. I see that show number 8 has been shelved by all ITV regions for the 29th now.

Is there any chance that kaleidoscope could add the final unseen eighth edition of 'pop gold' in next month's event before it's been broadcast as a last addition to its schedule?

Is there any chance that kaleidoscope could add the final unseen eighth edition of 'pop gold' in next month's event before it's been broadcast as a last addition to its schedule? I know Kaleidoscope members read this, but it may be too late. Nonetheless, they are going to have a good line-up, I understand.

What's the chance the whole series being on ITV2, Gold or Dave?

It was shelved after the advertisers complained to ITV that the show was, despite the stretched aspect ratio & Andy Kershaw's chortlesome introductions, nowhere near moronic enough to be screened by any ITV channel, and certainly not by the network's flagship of idiocy. Thousands of confused ITV viewers had complained that the show didn't come up to usual ITV standards of entertainment and ruined the flow of adverts.
