This is from the NME dated 18/10/63 Joe Brown's records will be featured in the first of an new occasional AR-TV series "They've Sold A Million" on November 6th. Each quarter-hour programme will spotlight an artist who has sold a million discs-not necessarily with the same song.
The NME dated 25/10/63 stated that "T.S.A.M" featuring Gerry and the Pacemakers was to be tele-recorded on Friday afternoon 25/10/63 on stage at Woolwich Granada but that there would be no audience at the filming. The show was being introduced by Alan Freeman.
The Crystals were to tele-record on Feb 12th 1963 for transmission on a later date.
Set for previous but also unscheduled appearances were Billy Fury,Bobby Rydell and Kenny Ball

Thanks,William. So the artists made some sort of appearance on the programme, too?I'm more puzzled than ever about the dates! Just back from the library today and I noticed in The Viewer magazine dated 08/04/64 that The Crystals were filmed relaxing, singing and talking in a Bowling Alley
