Hello everyone, I'm hoping and praying that somebody out there can help me. My grandmas who is now 92 starred on the TV show opportunity knocks in the 70s. The exact year is not known sadly. Her name was Betty Cornell and I believe she came second? I'm just hoping for a video of her singing, so I can show her and make her happy Thank you all in advance, I hope someone can help!!! Jade x

A quick search on LostShows.com reveals that the episode featuring Betty Cornell was broadcast Monday, 11th December 1972.
Unfortunately, not much of Opportunity Knocks exists in the archives. Out of 476 episodes, 455 were wiped, including the show your Grandma appeared on, so unless someone out there recorded it at the time, it's unlikely we'll ever get to see it...

Simon,I'm amazed that you found that. A great pity that it's lost.

Jade x Jade clutching at straws here but... because OP Knocks was such a long running show there is always a possibility that some of the 'missing' episodes have simply been displaced or not catalogued properly and therefore you could contact the owner of the Thames archive which is Fremantle TV. fremantlemediauk.com/our-labels/thames/Also there is another possibility that someone else on the show with your Betty could have home recorded the show? just a little bit of hope for you
