Showaddywaddy had their finest hour at this time of year - 'Hey Mr Christmas'. Criminally underplayed in the ranks of Christmas songs. Good wishes to all. Well, it's on my Car Christmas Compilation CD and has been for many years, along with XTC's Thanks For Christmas, also underplayed to the extreme :-(

Yes i remember "Hey Mr Christmas" not getting much airplay so much so that so that apart from the chorus i can't remember how the song goes and it's still underplayed today .

Hi Richard, Hope you enjoyed Holiday on the Buses...I love that show...I nearly bought the On the Buses complete series box set at my local Sainsbury's the other day I think they were selling it a £20 or £22 a bargain. I think I'll get it next week. Merry Christmas!

Hi William, thanks for the tip about the box set, sounds great value, will have to take a look. Really enjoyed Holiday on the Buses (again!!). Love the exploding toilet scene and Blakey teaching the blokes to smile and all of them mimicking the Blakey laugh back, real laugh out loud moments. ITV3 was a revelation yesterday, three On The Buses films, Carry on Cleo, Steptoe and Son Ride Again.

No problem Richard,I should have bought it when I saw it, but I'm sure it'll still be there in the next few days?

At the risk of going O/T,nice to see Wilfrid Brambell in Holiday, together with the two principles,in character (?) from 'Yus My Dear'.I think Holiday is the one which is likely to have a couple of seconds clipped from its opening scenes on TV?

Ah, yes, that's it, Yus My Dear. Good old Arfur & Queenie. A wonderfully awful sitcom if I remember correctly. Didn't they do a spin off relocating them to Spain, similar to Dont Drink The Water? I can't remember for sure. Go on then what scandalous 70s Infamy did they cut from the start of Holiday On The Buses then John. PM me if it's too shocking for modern tastes!
