What are your top sixties Doctor Who serials?
Something that I have been wondering for a while.
I have a feeling that I may struggle answering this poll.
Thanks.
P.S Please feel free to choose more then one answer. Think of it as the best of the Sixties Doctor Who.

Do feel free to chose more then one story. It would be impossible to just choose one. You have at least eleven other stories you can choose but choose wisely.

This is very tricky. But the best story I picked out of the twelve I chose was The Power of the Daleks!!!

Patrick Troughton is my favourite 60s Doctor so I have selected the following stories as my choice.
The Power of the Daleks The Moonbase The Evil Of The Daleks The Tomb Of The Cybermen The Web Of Fear The Wheel In Space The Invasion The Seeds Of Death

It's hard to vote on this in any meaningful way unless you watched (and still have a clear memory of) all the stories at the time, including those which are missing. Otherwise it's no more than pure guesswork.

Very interesting answers so far. Keep up the good work. This isn't something you can quickly do. It dose require a large amount of thinking.
It is also interesting to note that so far the Troughton's are outnumbering the Hartnell's in terms of votes. It is also interesting to see Evil catching up with Web of Fear which was leading last night.

I've picked one Hartnell and one Troughton.
Laurence beat me to it - I'm sticking to stories I've seen on DVD.

Definitely Enemy Of The World has gone up hugely in my estimation since the whole story turned up. Previously I'd judged it (based on the weakest - and sole existing - unrepresentative episode) to be quite a weak and slow-moving story. I can see I was completely wrong in my view now and rate it highly as a strong Troughton. This just proves though that unless we actually get to see (e.g.) Evil, Power or Fury, we can't construct any reasonable opinion of them to decide whether they're better / worse than those '60s stories we are able to watch on DVD.

I still love MARCO POLO I still enjoy the color tele-snaps. Crossing everything for someone to find this fine story.

really difficult, but I voted for the stories I would just love to see, coupled with their audio's, interestingly they were mostly stories with missing episodes, 5 hartnell and six troughton.

As said above it is very difficult to judge and I've had to weigh up my patchwork of memories of the original TV (all mid-late Troughton, DVDs, photo reconstructions and those dear old Target novelisations... I've also had to cast all 12 votes as there is so much good stuff in there. I do enjoy the new Dr Who in spite of its faster pacing but I wonder if in 40 years fans will find such an exercise as this quite so difficult?

It's hard to vote on this in any meaningful way unless you watched (and still have a clear memory of) all the stories at the time, including those which are missing. Otherwise it's no more than pure guesswork. That is why I limited my votes to stories that I have actually seen and did not include reconned stories. As I have and enjoy all of the recons done to date, but I felt that I could only really pass judgment on the surviving stories (especially as I have never seen them complete as originally aired). I did fudge a bit on one or two that are missing only an episode (Web and Tenth Planet) because I felt that the majority of the story was present and this allowed me to make an informed choice.
