I have memories of various BBC one-off TV serials, one of which I've just been able to identify as The Changes (and am pleased to see it still exists and has been recently released). Another from that era is The Chinese Puzzle. I also remember another where some guys had come back from the future, and because one had allowed a schoolgirl to see him literally walk through a garage door, his punishment was that he had to undergo a mind transformation with a dog!!!
Does anyone know what this series was called and whether it still exists?
Thanks

Sorry for the confusion but I was actually referring to a third series - i.e. not The Changes or The Chinese Puzzle, but another from that era broadcast at a similar time of day. Alas I don't know its name so can't search on lostshows.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've just checked out Jumbo Spencer and am pretty certain it ain't that. The one I'm thinking of had a sci-fi element to it.

It sounds like it's "Mandog" from 1972 - which does exist in full on 16mm colour film, It's fairly obscure these days because it's one of the few bits of BBC telefantasy that has never seemingly been bootlegged, which makes me think the BBC don't have any viewing copies of it - just the prints.
There's brief info. online - it merits an entry in "the hill and beyond"; I don't think timescreen ever covered it - maybe tv zone ??

scratch some of those comments though - evidently ep. 1 has slipped out of the archives

Have just checked it out, and it is indeed Mandog. Thanks so much for that. Good to see that it still exists in some kind of format at least, and that Episode 1 is available for viewing

Whilst I'm on a roll, please can I ask for suggestions to identify another ...
This is another teatime mini/one-off series, more likely to be ITV than BBC and circa 1969/1970 at a guess. The only real memory I have is of some guy, maybe a bit of a Frankenstein's monster type figure, I think. A bit of a weird, shadowy figure anyway, and he may have had an artificial jaw. I think he was looked after by a couple of females and was associated with a buzzing noise. (I recall my friend & I both being scared of a street lamp because of its buzzing noise reminded us of this!)
Not a lot to go on other than very vague memories, some of which may be incorrect. However, is anyone able to suggest what it may be and whether it still exists? Thanks.

I remember Mandog! A group of kids with the dog that had a man's mind in it and men dressed like garage mechanics who were chasing them!

King of the castle was about that red headed boy who gets trapped in a lift and makes his way out through an exit into an underground world of fantasy! A samurai, Frankenstein's monster and others come to get in the boys way of getting home as I remember!

Definitely NOT KotC though as that was 1977, whereas the series I recall would have been around 1968/69/70 - if any later than that, it would only have been by a year or two tops. Not sure if my Frankenstein comparison is a bit misleading. Just remember him as being a big, weird-looking geezer and he may have spent much of the time shut away in some kind of cupboard.
