Hello again, People. Forgive me if this has been asked previously; but does anyone know if Roxy ever either a) performed 'Pyjamarama' in the TOTP studio around Feb/Mar '73? or, b) left behind a promo? There would've been a problem with the former, since they were touring the 'For Your Pleasure' album around Europe when it was in the UK charts. Of the latter, I know of no official promo of the single recording. One other point is that I don't believe Pan's People made up the loss; not surprising considering how tough a number it would've been to dance to! So...what happened? Thanks in lieu of a reply.

They did go into the TOTP studio to perform Pyjamarama and that same performance was broadcast again 3 weeks later, needless to say the idiots at the BBC wiped the tapes.

And a great shame that a Timmy Thomas studio performance has therefore also been lost.

And a great shame that a Timmy Thomas studio performance has therefore also been lost. Yes i always thought "Why can't we live together" was a really good song , first heard it on Radio Luxembourg.

Thanks, nicadare, I appreciate that. First I've heard. I agree about the Timmy Thomas too.

Yes, definitely recall seeing this on TOTP at the age of 10 and buying the single. Paul Thompson placed at the front is about all I can remember....a big influence on me wanting to play drums, along with Hawkwind's `Silver Machine'!
PLEASE MODIFY YOUR POSTING NAME TO A REAL FULL ONE, AS PER FORUM RULES. THANKS - LAURENCE
