As others have said A TV shows have a terrible survival rate fronm the mid seventies just check out Marti Gaines early shows, Celebrity Squares, Wednesday at Eight etc.. I was glad that The Squirrels had as many existing as they were right in the middle of the dark period. Do you mean the sitcom,Jeff? I presume as early colour tape was expensive a lot of in was wiped & used again to keep costs down, unless it was something really worth keeping. That old thing about tape being expensive didn't seem to apply to all companies equally though (fortunately) and it seems that ATV was particularly bad for some reason. YTV, Granada and Anglia as well as (in the main) LWT kept far more. So not everyone penny pinched in that way.
