Just added a new page to my blog, no idea why as it's not specifically missing episode related but I got bored the other night- anyway, I digress. Does anyone know why William Hartnell's role in Marco Polo ep2 was so reduced? He only had a single line of dialogue but he was present for the studio recording.

Oh and The Evil of the Daleks:
I know Patrick Troughton was away for ep4 but what was the story with Deborah Watling? Some reports say she was absent but appeared in a pre-filmed sequence for ep3, some say ep4, but why was this to begin with? She only started on the show the week before!

Possibly she already had a job agreed but didn't want to say no to doing DW? So the producers allowed her a week off to finish another project? Just speculating!

Either that it was to save a bit of cash by not paying her for one episode.

This is a great list, thanks for the info Brad! It's amazing how so many people think that Mission to the Unknown was the only episode not to feature the Doctor.
