This may be of interest to some of you: www.bigfinish.com/news/v/found-a-special-offer-for-lost-storiesIncludes the First & Second Doctors box sets (which sadly I can't justify at the moment) plus The Masters of Luxor and The Rosemariners, both of which I grabbed along with Hexagoria (5th Doctor) and The Guardians of Prophecy (6th). Been eyeing up Luxor & Rosemariners for a while so delighted to have snapped those up on the cheap. Can recommend many of the Sixth Doctor stories from Series 1, but found the "Season 27" stories from Series 2 a little underwhelming. Likewise Return of The Sontarans from Series 3 is excellent, but Power Play is not so good. Deborah Watling's voice has aged really badly sadly.

I've never really followed Big Finish material.
Thin Ice sounds awfully like Cold War.

Thanks for the heads up! I bought about nine or ten - I think it's called impulse buying - doh!
I have only listened to four of the Colin Baker Lost Stories - Nightmare Fair on. I have found them enjoyable, but not what one might call a staple diet. It is good to hear how they revisit the characters we knew in today's contexts with the "at the time" feel.

Could somebody answer this, are these audio plays done in a episodic format? I'd like to get into it but I only think I could truly enjoy it if it was done in a traditional Part One, two etc.
Thanks!

I think the only ones that aren't are the Paul McGann "Seasons" (which follow the New Series format) and the Dark Eyes box sets. The McGann main range ones and all the others are all in an Episodic form - usually 4 parts. Some of the Colin Baker ones follow the Season 22 format of 1 episode per disc instead of 2.

I like to think of these as forming part of a loose canon.
