I watched the official Yardbirds DVD and saw there some videos, which couldn't find on any bootleg video in their complete form. These videos are - 'Still I'm Sad" and "For your love" from Belgium TV, "Happenings ten years time ago" w/Page and Beck.
Are there any longer versions of these circulating?
Thanks

Yes, there is complete TV performances floating around of the Yardbirds including Richmond Jazz Festival, Shindig, Hullabaloo, NME concert & The Milton Berle Show which has Jimmy Page & Jeff Beck performing together. There is also the Blow Up film.

Where is the Happenings clip from, does anyone know? Is it U.S. TV? There is also a German "Beat Beat Beat" appearance for the same song existing. In addition, there are promo films made for several songs including For Your Love. Doesn't one of the two surviving Whole Scene Goings feature them as well? No doubt there are other appearances too. A DVD retrospective is overdue.

The Happenings clip is from "The Merton Berle Show". It's also performed live on "Beat Beat Beat" but only with Jimmy Page. Here's a list of performances that exist. As mentioned on the first post, the retrospective official DVD has some Belgium TV performances which I don't have any information on. If I remember correctly one song was performed on a ship!

Thanks for the list. Some of these haven't got the name of the show alongside them - do you happen to know where they all come from? Cheers.

It was released on VHS in the early 90s and Warner re-released it on DVD a few years back with no extras. Most of the songs listed are featured but in there, theres only one virtually complete performance and thats "Heart Full Of Soul" from "Hullabaloo". You do get over half of The Milton Berle Show clip with Beck and Page miming to "Happenings" (from the beginning of the song to the end of the manic solos) which is the undoubted highlight. The rest are clips, some briefer than others.
It does feature one clip not in the list above and thats a manic live performance of "I Wish You Would" on Dutch TV shortly after Jeff Beck joined.
Its a nice documentary with all surviving members contributing interview material and has Chris Dreja and Jim McCarty visiting a couple of old haunts. Jeff Beck is very chatty and lively and theres one nice sequence where we see Beck alongside McCarty, Dreja and Paul Samwell Smith reminiscing about the infamous Oxford Ball gig where Keith Relf got ridiculously drunk.
Clips of the Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page footage was used in the 1995 Without Walls - My Generation documentary and featured some Beck comments unused in this VHS.DVD documentary.

In a book on The Who I was reading recently, it claims that the Richmond Jazz Fest featuring both bands was not only filmed (which I have seen clips of) but also videotaped in colour as a joint venture between Brian Epstein's company and someone else (forget who offhand). Anyone know if this exists or has surfaced? Or even, indeed, if it's true! It would be a great record of the event if so.

The first and third are from Belgian TV. The second is the most fascinating Yardbirds video find in a long time since it features what must have been one of Jimmy Page's first appearances with the band. It was filmed at the end of June 1966, just shortly after original bassist Paul Samwell Smith quit the band... Samwell Smith can be seen with them at the beginning of the month on "A Whole Scene Going" and he walked out after a debacle at the Oxford Rag Ball or whatever it was called midway through the month. This french footage is also the only LIVE footage (and audio) that has so far surfaced of the Beck/Page line up though Page was on bass at this point... his switch to joint lead guitar occured in either late July or August 1966. As for the Richmond Jazz and Blues festival footage, all thats left is the 2 part "Shindig Goes To London" which had highlights from that festival. Unfortunately as wonderful as that material is, it was ruined by ridiculous screaming overdubs. Sadly, it also seems that the colour footage and original videotapes were not kept. The Who have used this footage several times over the years and if they haven't been able to uncover outtakes or colour footage then its doubtful anyone will. A real shame - colour, uncut and undubbed footage from that event would be priceless!

Thanks for the info, Peter. It's very possible the footage is still existent in one archive or another though, i'd say. It just needs to be located, restored and (most of all) done something with!
