I remember him speaking about his collection a couple of years before he died. He didn't mention old telly though, he spoke about the rare films that he had. He said he had already made plans to donate his collection to the National Film Archive on his passing. This was definitely before he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Very sorry to hear this. Mitch was an incredibly talented drummer. You only have to listen to the likes of "Fire", "Manic Depression" and "Killing Floor" to hear how unique he was. Even the best of drummers would struggle to play that stuff.
Unfortunately he didn't have the success he deserved after Hendrix's death. Then again playing with anyone after Jimi was always going to be a step down.
Hendrix's other drummer Buddy Miles also passed away this year which leaves the only person alive who played regularly with Jimi is bassist Billy Cox.
All in all a very sad day for rock and roll. To my knowledge, the first band to have all the original line up pass away.

The clip is in colour. It's not in the best of shape-there's hiss on the soundtrack but it is audible. I'm not a technical expert, but it has the NTSC look about it.
There is also Instant Karma from Top of The Pops as an extra.

I've just bought a Classic Albums DVD which features Lennon's first solo album "Plastic Ono Band". It contains a clip of the Parkinson interview.

Can anyone tell me the broadcast date of the missing Orson Welles interview?
And also these interviews which do exist:
John Wayne Robert Mitchum Ingrid Bergman Lillian Gish
Lastly, can anyone clarify if Gregory Peck, Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas or Paul Newman were ever interviewed on the show?
I know the Lennon interview has been discussed before on these pages. Apparently Bill Cotton asked Parky to get the interview repeated following his murder. When Parky told him it was wiped, Cotton replied "There will be a bootleg copy somewhere in the BBC!"
Cheers
