This was on ABC, wasn't it? Peter Frazer-Jones was at ABC before he went to Thames, right?

This was on ABC, wasn't it? Peter Frazer-Jones was at ABC before he went to Thames, right? That was something I was wondering, Ray. It does have the look of those Cliff Richard ABC specials.

Indeed, it does.
BUT IT WAS THAMES!!!!!!!!!! 13th August 1968 was (apparently) the broadcast date, and Thames had been on the air since 30/07/1968.
Now, presumably PFJ had been working for ABC up until that month. Peter Frazer-Jones was working for ABC in 1967, certainly.

But was it broadcast on August 13th? The Times Archive says it was, yet that week's TVTimes (London area) gives a completely different schedule. It wasn't broadcast on the 13th September 1968 date given by Lost Shows either.

It may have been shown at various times across the ITV network.
It's Thames, though, I think.

And I think you're right about it being a Thames show. A Stage Archive search appears to back you up.
Was it broadcast?

It could have been made by ABC, although eventually transmitted by Thames (as happened with some other shows around that time). A very nice discovery!

The blurb says:- ""London, 1968. Mr Showmanship himself, Liberace, starred in a live musical extravaganza entitled “Liberace in London”. Accompanied by a host of sensational talent such as The Tremeloes and The London Philharmonic Orchestra, this programme was the first to be transmitted by the new London production company Thames Television""
This means that, according to Fremantle, it would have been shown 30/07/1968 at 7pm or so (a Tuesday, I think).
According to my search on their database, they DON'T have it.
Repeat - DON'T.
I am ringing them. Keep you posted. :/
