Discovery: ALL SYSTEMS FREEMAN - BBCtv 23rd February 1968. Mute intro by Alan Freeman to The Paper Dolls - Something Here In My Heart (studio performance) Approx' 2 minutes 7 seconds (incomplete). Originally a 16mm film. TopPop have now uploaded the footage to YT Thanks for finding and posting this Paul. IMO it's a brilliant pop song that is crying out for a contemporary so called girl band to cover

I've had a soft spot for it since I first heard it in the mid 1990s.

Why would a short 3 min song be spread over 3 reels? Would the BBC not send a complete performance on one reel? The performance was mimed on the original tape. The clip is also incomplete. Originally in 3 reels but the third one has been lost, hence TopPop have looped the video they posted to make it look complete. It is the only clip from All Systems Freeman that currently exists, but still looking for more.

Yes i would have thought that too, it's strange, perhaps the broadcaster spliced the footage up for some reason.?

Wouldn’t it be nice to find a lip reader & a convincing Fluff impersonator to dub the start of the clip?
Not arf! Before anyone else says it
