I still have a deck of these that were mostly collated from scrambles in the school playground. I don't know if you had those too I recall across the decades the film feeling quite hallucinatory, but that could just be me I shall have a look at the link! Could be interesting.

I've got a few from when I collected them in 1986.
I remember them being a fad at my school for a few months, luckily they wern't banned as a few other schools did!
The backs had an award for something daft, I remember me & my cousin award these to family & friends, & did a home radio show on tape, which still exists!

I loved them. I had loads of them but I only ever managed to complete series 2 by virtue of a local shop over stocking them and still having them available as late as 1989. All gone now bar a few survivors. I did manage to pick up a few American packets of series 4 a few years back from a stock find at Forbidden Planet in Cambridge. The American versions are a larger size, die-cut and came in wax packaging instead of plastic. I also used to have a full set of badges they released, loads of plastic toys and a pop up garbage can featuring one of the characters. Again these are all sadly gone now. I still have the VHS of the film. I still love it and watch it occasionally.
