Rowan - it is my understanding that the individual CDs were to be discontinued but said stories were to be available (and still are) in the box set versions.

Oh. I didn't know that. That's handy to know, because they're the ones I intend to buy (when I get the money!).

Didn't know Gallifrey Base have closed their missing episodes forums until December 2nd. Seems a bizarre thing to do. Not that I'm reading anything into it but why can't people discuss missing episodes during the anniversary week??

Not that I'm reading anything into it but why can't people discuss missing episodes during the anniversary week?? Maybe their mods want an early Christmas present? Or perhaps they've been asked to cool it on the rumour vending? Whatever it is, does seem a little odd - if the 50th isn't the time to swap tales of adventures past and adventures returned and adventures still being sought, when is?

Ya, I just bought the audio cd boxset volumes 1-5 (all Hartnell and Troughton) around the time of the Enemy/Web announcements to help boost some of their numbers and to work on my collection. 2-5 all arrived quickly but volume 1 is taking forever to ship. Pricey at like $600 for it all... Around a dozen cds in each set

Some of the accusations have been horrific. Is this not the case now?

I don't know, I hardly visit there. I only took notice because there's usually a replacement thread pop up if one closes.

3 sites shut their forums down like clockwork - GB, OS and Roobarbs - not like it's not happened before something big happened...

It does seem to have cooled down the Ripley's-style posts that have been flooding in here.

It doesn't help that the forums continue to turn into petty fights with people over analyzing each word anyone posts!

It's also happened before nothing at all happened, so it's clearly no indicator at all. That must be it ...

It's also happened before nothing at all happened, so it's clearly no indicator at all. That must be it ... If anything, it probably indicates that people are getting carried away...
