Bee Gees is a repeat, don't know which date though. Rolling Stones - Let's Spend....is also a repeat from this show Two minds think alike. Thanks for the verifications.

"If" Christie had a promo featured on TOTP for Yellow River then it is more likely to be this one which was filmed first and features the original drummer Mike Blakley. The other promo was filmed at a later date, maybe for the Dave Cash Radio Show. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ5-FoiBuVcThanks for the clarification about the drummer. He left just before the release of the band's second album, For All Mankind (1971). That's the thing with promo films, there can be a few of them and it's not always easy to tell when viewing online music footage which were shown on Top of the Pops, if any. In this instance, Laurence remembered watching the film when it was shown on Top of the Pops in 1970 which was then repeated several years later on ZDF's Disco:

In this case, the film was made in Belgium in black and white, so will be different from the film shown on Top of the Pops in 1970. Laurence saw the film in question which was repeated on ZDF's Disco. It may be on Youtube, but I'm unsure which link. Among the Belgium footage list I've spotted the Traffic - Paper Sun promo filmed in a museum: missingepisodes.proboards.com/thread/5064/pop-acts-missing-archives?page=9On that basis, it's possible the Traffic promo wasn't the one shown on Top of the Pops after all. Unsure, as TOTP broadcasted various footage from other programmes including overseas sources.

Thanks for for verifying the information of confirmed Top of the Pops broadcasts, which were uncertain and which were shown on other shows. The promo film footage that Laurence watched at the time and repeated on ZDF's Disco remains elusive. It doesn't appear to be on Youtube but will hopefully surface, given time.
The clip of Yellow River shown on Disco was definitely this one linked by Paul Watkins earlier in the thread.

This promo which was shown on ZDF's Disco is the original promo for Yellow River. If a promo was shown on TOTP it would have been this one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ5-FoiBuVcThe B&W 'Tienerklanken' promo was filmed a few months later and was only shown on the Belgium TV show, not in the UK. It was filmed especially for that show. and this one is from 'Dave Cash Radio Show' Hope this clears this one up.

A new TOTP find (not yet dated, it may come from one of two different dates in 1975.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTq3ZglWs7EIt was used as a promo by Jet Records after it was filmed for TOTP as an insert (hence no audience present). A photograph from the taping session, plus a comparison of backgrounds have confirmed that this was on TOTP. Thanks to Paul Watkins for his help with this one.

It difficult to work out where Dusty Springfield's concerned - I know there's a lot missing - but there is a fair few performances from the sixties in existance
But is this missing and which show is it from ?

It's a good clip, Jeff. My gut instinct was 'it looks French', the style of the clip. That said, I have no idea! May be worth pinging a message off to some Dusty Springfield fan groups?
