Tangerine Dream.
Ok, I have no idea if this is the LOST footage or soundtrack or whatever from the Coventry Cathedral thing in 1975, but seeing as I keep finding Songs of Praise, with the religious type vibe going on I thought I'd mention this today.
First read this:- ""http://www.voices-in-the-net.de/live_at_coventry_cathedral_1975.htm""
The uploader has stated:- ""The original footage of the 1975 Tangerine Dream gig at the Coventry Cathedral. This is NOT the 2007 DVD where BBC added some extras, but unfortunately also dubbed the Ricochet album over the video. This is an original VHS recording from TV as broadcasted on BBC on 16/10/76, so the quality is not at all brilliant.""
(well, it's NOT VHS!!!!)
I have no idea if it is the same as the DVD release (some viewers seem to think it is, some not).
Anyway, I'm going to listen to some Troggs and go for a lie down in a dark room.

The Beatles - Live At The London Palladium 16 October 1963, is the heading of this audio on youtube. It should be 13 October 1963 which Lostshows.com has as a Missing Episode. It begins with intro by Bruce Forsyth, full concert of 4 songs and ends with the closing music to Sunday Night At The London Palladium. It is 12.25 minutes in duration. The song line-up ties in with tvpopdiaries Sunday 13 October 1963 ATV Val Parnell's Sunday Night At The London Palladium 8.25 - 9.25 pm. The Beatles From Me To You, I'll Get You, She Loves You, Twist And Shout. Kaleidoscope say they agree, and they will make a note to the Guides.
Also from that same evening, there is The Beatles -London Palladium interview and departure - ITV News 1963, this is 1.54 minutes long.

(I am briefly straying into Dutch territory! (Baarle-Nassau, anyone? ) The Eddy-Go-Round Show is meant to be almost completely lost, save for the Abba episode and one other, saved by the host, and now timecoded. I am also aware that the Cliff Richard appearance in 1976 and the Summerset special also exist. With a little research, I thought it would be an idea to see if I could locate any other footage, knowing that video recorders in the 1970's sold in the Netherlands very well, per capita, as Philips were based there.) Here we are:- www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9nSJFjIinMwww.youtube.com/watch?v=eSUYmPkgEqMThere are a couple of other clips, but they seem to come from masters of some sort.

This is to clear up a misunderstanding as regards a show, which many TOTP aficionados will know about, but precious few outside of that area. (Pop) Into 71 - a very common source of confusion, as it was very much a TOTP show in all but name.:- Here is the correct lostshows.com date/show entry:- ""Missing or incomplete episodes for programme INTO 71. 31.12.70 with Blue Mink, CCS, Georgie Fame, Elton John, Alexis Korner (missing)"" The fact it is everything but a TOTP show in name, often means it is often listed in TOTP databases, such as the BBC's old official one, and Popscene and Poptastic. Even lostshows.com list it twice, also as a Top of the Pops!!!! 31.12.70 Pop Into '71 (missing) Here is the Popscene listing:- ""31-12-70: No presenter (Wiped) ALEXIS KORNER & PETER THORUP – Whole Lotta Love LULU – You’ve Got To Believe In Love * BLUE MINK – Morning Dew CAT STEVENS – Moon Shadow FLEETWOOD MAC – Purple Dancer LABI SIFFRE – Make My Day SUE & SUNNY – Ain’t That Tellin’ You People ELTON JOHN – Your Song *ELTON JOHN – People Can I Put You On TOTP ORCHESTRA – The Theme From ‘Kes’ ALAN PRICE & GEORGIE FAME – Don’t Shut Me Out ALAN PRICE & GEORGIE FAME – Every Night CCS – Walkin’ LIVINGSTON TAYLOR – In My Reply THE WHO – I Don’t Even Know Myself * THE WHO – Naked Eye *LULU – Everybody Get Together * although this show is wiped, these performances still exist"" Here's the Elton John clip - safe in the BBC archive:- www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SSk56k3qmUand Lulu's which is also safe (via ZDF):- www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FbB2B5eZpYThe Who's performances exist in a private archive. So as regards "Into 71", the show should read:- "One or more sequences exist, but the complete programme is lost". As previously stated, many hardcore TOTP fans will already know all this information!

I don't think that particular Lulu performance from Pop Into '71 survives though Ray. The surviving clip of "You've Got To Believe In Love" is from the 14.01.1971 Top Of The Pops. It's clearly a new performance as there are also two aborted takes before the full complete one on the studio recording copy in circulation.

I'M SURE you're right 100% and I was hoping someone would comment on that! Hopefully the relevant TOTP databases can change their information regarding Into 71 and TOTP 14/01/71!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Mike Morton!

I have managed to find a clip of Disco 2 in the BBC Archives!!!!
It's of Stone the Crows. I haven't ascertained the date or song yet, but I have sent a link of a copy of the show to Disco 2 expert AJ Smith, and more news will be coming soon.
The clip exists in the BBC Archive on "British Broadcasting Corporation 1922-1972: Fifty Years Old & Still Going Strong."

Great news Ray (well done! can any of us gain access to the BBC archives as you've done? Meantime I've had a look at the NME for Stone the Crows appearances on Disco 2 on the 23/5/70 and 24/10/70 but no sign of any song information. I also looked at the Rock on TV website and the Glasgow Evening Times they both confirm their appearances but no song information. Hopefully Disco 2 expert Adam will be able to help

It was a sales presentation film - they use to give those away in 1972 - and someone still owned a copy and had the foresight to copy it and put the whole film on DVD for me.

There are a couple of other excerpts of what may be wiped shows on there, but nothing very lengthy, just clips, and I am still going through it.
