When clicking link it says cannot find item Ray and says it may have been removed. I probably let too many people know about it. Either that or the copyright police have swooped. Assuredly, it was there earlier.
The link is broken. Lots of characters missing, replaced by ...
Here's the corrected link. www.webstore.com/item/Classic-DVD-Collection-MARK-SABER-1950s-Crime-drama-wCase-and-Artwork/102977942But this is a commercial DVD.It's unlikely to hold a missing episode. I think that either the listing is wrong, and it's not in the set, or TVBrain is wrong and it's not missing.
Ray, have you actually bought it?

Thanks for the new link, firstly. I haven't bought it, because they only ship to the US. The last couple of times that similar things came up, I got one of my US contacts to purchase the discs and we ended up with some missing episodes of a couple of things, which ironically, have now been found on film. At the moment, it's meant to be lost. I agree with you, it's probably out there on film in the US, but until that is confirmed, this will have to do.

Some Rediffusion bits.... (ORIGINALLY POSTED ON THE WRONG THREAD!)
a) In 2012 I located a lost A-R documentary 'the Army Now' in the IWM archive. The 'find' was pretty much ignored at the time (and since deleted), which is probably a good thing as I got some facts wrong, which I've now corrected. It was shown in 1958, probably in the Autumn and it's on 35mm. b) 'Homosexuality in Men and Women', a Rediffusion London documentary, presented by Bryan Magee and produced by Jeremy Isaacs, is held on 16mm film by the Wisconsin History Society. This is the Archive that held the 'Around the World with Orson Welles' episode I located that got issued on DVD. THIS is why I check my old 'work'! I may have missed it at the time because of the Orson film. c) predictably another documentary....albeit a co-production.... 'the Mounting Millions', from 1967....this one's an Intertel production, but Rediffusion were credited. Four different archives hold this on 16mm; Indiana University, the Library of Congress, New York Public Media and the Harvard Film Archive. Again, it's one I missed.

I have located a DVD copy of an episode of 'Inspector Morley, Late of Scotland Yard, Investigates'. Obviously, it's a wiped one - I wouldnae be mentioning it otherwise, would I? - and it's ('the Case of the) Wise Monkeys'.
I'm hopeful this one can be recovered.

Without (obviously) posting any links, a private individual has copies of two episodes of 'the Third Man' (which although is 99% certain to exist in US archives, is still 'officially' missing), those episodes being 'Experiment with Money' and 'Portrait of Harry (Lime)'. With the Third Man, it's exceedingly likely all shows exist, but it would be nice if they were all released or viewable. Official confirmation would be fantastic, as well.

Ten episodes of The Third Man were released on DVD in 2006(I have a copy). 2 DVD Pack. Multi region DVD. There may be others in the series. The company was Timeless TV/Timeless Media Group. The two episodes you name are not among them.

I have come across what may be a fragment of an episode from 'Vision On' from 1968. It appears to be filmed off a TV monitor, and unusually it was recorded with sound, which is why you can hear the camera motor running in the background.

Come to think this over, I'd say that that is the projector used to play the film in order to digitise it "off the wall"?

Strange viewing. I used to think Tony Hart and Benny Hill might be the same man.

This makes me wonder if those who had their artworks displayed in The Gallery got sent a film recording just of the gallery segment, most probably on Super 8, as a record of their contribution to the show?

The uploader calls it a 16mm BBC film. It has the ambiance of Doctor Who film inserts from the Hartnell era. Love the monsters!
