On the 1st of June I went to the well-attended Marty screenings at the N.F.T.
To my surprise the character with the 'lunatic' laugh was sat diagonally opposite me. I took a look at this individual to see if this was some stunt, but no, he really was like this (thick set character who sported moderately thick rimmed glasses, unless I was looking at the wrong man).
The state of British television comedy is such that I suggest the television companies who make the 'shows' record this laugh and play it back while showing the latest examples of British TV comedy.
It won't improve the comedy, but it will distract from viewing the show.
