Does anyone here know if the 1980's Little Miss and Mr Men editions still survive. This is the version I first saw. The opening credits to the Mr Men were changed and had a guy singing "Mr this and Mr that...." and the closing credits to the whole show was the "Goodbye" theme from the Little Misses with loads of the characters riding a train. I have searched and search for this version but haven't found it.
The Little Miss and Mr Men also had a linking song in the middle that went "All friends together, the Little Miss and Mr Men".
That bit does still exist as it's at the end of every episode of the Little Misses before the end credits.
I also remember some very long intros to the Little Misses that were seen before the titles. Some of these appeared n Channel 4 during the mid 1990's as part of their Take 5 children's hour. They consisted of other Little Miss characters sitting down and watching the episode that was coming up with Music from show minus narration so you got to hear "Plump, Plump Little Miss Plump....." all the way through before the episode started. Never seen these since either.
The above listing can't be right, as I have all of those episodes on DVD, each five minutes long and with its own opening and closing titles! So it must be a different edit we're talking about? I grew up with the Little Miss and Mr Men 1980s re-edit with the "All friends together" song halfway through and the "Goodbye" song at the end. I have VHS recordings of some of the Take 5 reshowings from the 1990s as well.
