Very sad week.
Does anyone know if Michael Billington was still in acting or living in the UK when he died?

I too met Ed bishop only the once at the Birmingham cult TV festival in 1991. He was a very approacable and talkative person about his work with Gerry Anderson and his film and TV credits. All I can say is that we have lost two gentlemen of the acting profession whose talent can not be replaced. As I write this images of the two actors are coming to mind in the work they have done, not just for UFO. We have seen Ed Bishop in many roles throughout the years-every time they needed an American there was Ed,even though he was a Canandian. Even when they needed an actor to play Dr.Klaus Hergishimer in the 007 movie Moonraker, there was Ed talking in his native Canadian accent. I have seen Ed in his role as the journalist in 1990,the late 70s BBC2 seris that starred Edward Woodward,as a Doctor in a 90s Jasper Carrot sketch and of course UFO,for which he is best remembered. They leave behind their performances as legacys of their talent;goodbye Ed and Michael, you will not be forgotten.

Oh thanks William. I was not sure if he had gone to the states.
I'm just rambling but strange thought , what do ex actors do all day? I mean for example what has Peter Wynguarde done for twenty years. We will never know I suppose

Helpful!
He has appeared on the odd tv retrospective show.
I think he found work hard to come by after his infamous incident.

From the maus club
Nice one Cyril
Just read that Peter Wynguarde made one of his rare (but welcome) TV performances as the engineer Brunel.

We will never know I suppose Michael Billington seemed to spend most of his time going to cult tv do s like Fanderson(he and Ed were due to appear at this years a few weeks from now) and selling signed photos of himself on his web site www.michaelbillington.org.uk/Peter Wyngarde on the otherhand did as Kev says find work difficult after the 1974 Incident although some actors like Wilfred Bramble seemed to survive similar public "outings" uk.imdb.com/name/nm0943936/ contains a fairly comprehensive listing.
