I signed up yesterday and today received an email approving my membership. So, it would appear that memberships are still being accepted.

Not if you're 'blacklisted' due to some imagined transgression. Ditto for Roobarb. I'd recommend, though it's not foolproof, avoiding any reference to topical events, politics, social mores, etc. And Doctor Who, of course!

There's not much being posted there now though. Perhaps a result of the difficulty in joining.

There's not much being posted there now though. Perhaps a result of the difficulty in joining. Great that saves me the angst and time in trying to achieve the impossible. I must say its more exciting searching for and even finding lost episodes of t.v. and radio recordings. All but a few of these forums put too many barriers in the way of folks doing this research due to the attitude of the 'owners.' The best forum(s) by far for friendliness, helpfulness and achievements is the OTRR in the USA: Old Time Radio Researchers at www.facebook.com/groups/1677714482510214 They also have an active IO Group (ex-Yahoo Group). And they have a vast archive on Archive.org

Anyone else been having trouble accessing the site over the last day or two? Yes. They have been having some problems for the past month or so. Not sure what the issue is but it seems to a recurring theme.

The site's nearly dead and the most active staff member has in the past been accused of dubious and unethical practices. So the question is if we are missing much.

I don't think I've looked in at the Mausoleum Club in about ten years.

"A complete rebuild of the forum is required. This may take a while and I apologise for the inconvenience." is all that's presently viewable.

There is an update to the Mausoleum Club board today - it would appear there are issues with the underlying database so it is currently read only. At least none of the data has been lost.
RWels, what were the dubious and unethical practices the admins were accused of - I presume by you. I'm guessing you were thrown off so bear a grudge.

what were the dubious and unethical practices the admins were accused of There is blocking people, rightly or wrongly... and there is resetting their passwords to gain access to their account and private conversations. The latter is on a different level, I think. Completely unethical.
